THE PLOT:

This is a story of a group of passengers who awake to an empty plane and land in an empty airport. One has a theory, they flew through a strange unknown thing and all the passengers who were awake ceased to exist and the plane landed back in time, but instead of ending up out of time exploring a past, they are trapped in an empty world where everyone has left them behind. Basically, when a minute ends, you leave, but every thing is left behind and is eaten by monsters called the Langoliers and that is why time travel is impossible.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

I really did enjoy the movie, the acting, the characters and the monsters were all cool, but what the Hell was King thinking when he wrote this? You can't go back in time because monsters eat the past, how insane is that. I'm not an expert on Einstein's theory of relativity but I'm pretty sure there's nothing about monsters eating the past. Plus could the Bronson Pinchot be any more of a jerk? Tell me, I don't think he could have. But the story makes a nice fairy tale but it has no basses in fact and it's not crazy it's not possible to time travel but his theory just doesn't add up. But it does make a fun watch and earned 7 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

Okay, I basically agree with what Zedd wrote, except it took forever to get to the Langoliers part of the movies. Most of the long TV movie was talking about this idiotic time and how they were left behind and trapped between the minutes or something stupid like that. 5 STARS!

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ CAST (The cast is great.)
+ STORY (Story works as fiction but no basis in fact.)
+ CHARACTERS (Most of the characters worked.)
+ LANGOLIERS (The monsters once they arrive are cool.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- INSANE THEORY (You can't go back in time because it's eaten by monsters, that's just crazy.)
- CLIMAX (You don't get to see the monsters until near the climax of the film.)

...AND FINALLY...

- FAN BASED (If you aren't a big fan of Steven King and his works, then this isn't the movie for you.)
