THE PLOT:
The not too distant future, aliens are common place in the world. But the evil Emperor Gruumm conquers and destroys every
planet in his wake. Next is Earth and the A squad is missing in action.
So the B squad of misfits become Power Rangers and must put aside their differences in order to stop Gruumm and his army
of Cybots and alien criminals.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
As you are all aware of I am a big Power Rangers and Sentai fan, which goes way back to my childhood. After seeing Dekaranger
Vs. Abaranger proves what I suspected for sometime now, that Power Rangers SPD has been dumbed down, there is not catching
criminals in little cards, after judgment mode, they kill the offending monster like most Sentai shows. I have no idea why
they decided to do that. Except they didn't like the "POLICE" being judge jury and executioner and that's bull.
They should have not changed it. On the plus side, the blending of stock-footage is getting much more smooth and clear. If
it wasn't for that cross over movie, I would have never known about the dumbing down. The monsters are cool and the robots
they fight in is cool. Except for the dumbing down, it's a great Power Rangers show and I give it 6 STARS.
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I just wish Dekaranger would be put on DVD, subtitled of course. I prefer Dekaranger over SPD anyday of the week. But I'm
not here to review Dekaranger I'm here to review SPD. I liked the human characters and Doggy is my favorite in both shows.
Overall not an awful show, but it could have done more. 5 STARS and the show should consider itself lucky for that.

+ NOT AS REPEDITIVE (The robots don't always show up, so it's not as repeditive as other PR shows.)
+ CHARACTERS (The human characters are likable.)
+ GRUUMM (Gruumm is one cool villian.)

+ BATTLES (The fighting is cool.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- DUMBED DOWN (The Dekarangers were killing the evil monsters, not locking them up into little cards.)
